Ink Exchange (Wicked Lovely #2) by Melissa Marr. Ink Exchange (Wicked Lovely (Quality)). I loved Wicked Lovely, but I loved Ink Exchange more. Ink Exchange is the second book in Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely series. I've heard many people say they weren't going to read this book because the main characters change. Suddenly, their story seems so much more important. Summary: To 17-year-old Leslie, the tattoo is a thing of indescribable beauty, a captivating mark that she must make her own. Unbeknownst to mortals, a power struggle is unfolding in a world of shadows and danger. It follows Wicked Lovely in time, but focuses on a different set of characters. A dark and much heavier story in the Wicked Lovely series, Ink Exchange centers around mortal Leslie and the Dark King Irial. Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr is a creepy, haunting urban fantasy that fully lives up to the standard set by Marr's first book, Wicked Lovely… though it isn't quite as good. If you enjoyed Wicked Lovely, I insist that you continue on with the series. When I read Wicked Lovely, I did not like it especially, but at least it was not hateful. I'm OFFICIALLY swearing off books from Melissa Marr. People like Niall, Irial, Rabbit the tattooist and his sisters, Ani and Tish. Don't let that stop you from reading it. Let's start with the obvious - Ink Exchange is the second book in the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr.
